Nicole's rep denies pregnancy

Nicole Kidman is not pregnant, her Australian press representative has said. Kidman's expecting a baby was first reported by the U.K.'s Daily Mail, which said The Hours Oscar winner, 40, had told friends and family members over Christmas that she and her husband of 18 months, Keith Urban, were expecting their first child together. But the Melbourne Herald Sun quotes Kidman's Australian publicist as denying the Mail's story. "It is incorrect," the spokeswoman tells the paper. "She must have had about 30 babies by now." As for Kidman, says the rep, "She's in Australia making a film" – director Baz Luhrman's epic Australia, costarring Hugh Jackman – "and her family are in Australia. She's happily ensconced away somewhere having a few days break. It's the silly season. As far as we're concerned, it's another rumor out of London." Still, a friend of Kidman's tells the Herald Sun it is "conceivable" that the actress is nearly three months pregnant. "She did have a small baby bump a month ago, so it would be reasonable that she'd now be three months and telling her friends and family," the unnamed friend is quoted as saying. Kidman and former husband Tom Cruise adopted two children during their 1990-2001 marriage: Isabella, now 14, and Connor, 12.

Britney to be deposed soon

After a year of legal starts and stops, Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan is ready to move forward with his client's custody battle. "Britney Spears will have her deposition early this year," Kaplan told press outside Mr. Chow's restaurant in Beverly Hills late Saturday night. "We've got a lot to talk about." Spears, 26, missed her initial deposition appearance on Dec. 12, prompting Kaplan to request an emergency hearing and to delay their next court date from January to February. Though Spears cited physical illness and anxiety for her absence, Kaplan said, "She was, in fact, out later that day and night. It's not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all okay." The attorney expressed hope that Spears will appear this time around so further measures, such as pursuing her in contempt of court or delaying the deposition once again, will not be necessary. "Kevin isn't interested, nor am I, in punishing her," says Kaplan. "We just want to get information necessary to proceed further. I hoping remedies which include continuing hearings are all theoretical." As for tabloid rumors that Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, will also undergo drug testing, he says, "I haven't even heard about that, and I don't think that is true." In fact, he says, the boys have been enjoying a wonderful holiday season. "It was a good Christmas for all," Kaplan confirms. "They were great. Kevin had all of his kids and it was a big, wonderful family setting. He was really happy, and the kids were happy." As 2008 beckons, Federline, 29, will be ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas. As for how Kaplan envisions the future, his wish is simple: "I hope we will prevail."

Jimmy Fallons weds

Former Saturday Night Live regular Jimmy Fallon and girlfriend Nancy Juvonen, a Hollywood producer who worked on Fallon's 2005 romantic comedy Fever Pitch, were married Saturday on Necker Island in the Caribbean, a publicist announced. Fallon, 33, and Juvonen, 40, had "family and close friends in attendance" at the ceremony, according to the statement from representative Ina Treciokas, the Associated Press reports. No further details were released. The proposal took place in New Hampshire last August "on the dock at sunset at the Junoven family home in Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee, where On Golden Pond was filmed," according to a friend of the pair. "He presented her with a one-of-a-kind ring designed by Neil Lane," the friend added. It is a first marriage for both.

Mischa avoids press

Party-hosting duties for DUI suspect Mischa Barton have been put on ice. Her management team - which has been tirelessly working to control the press since "The O.C." star was busted in LA early Thursday morning for drunken driving and possession of narcotics - pulled her from hosting tonight's opening of Cathouse in Las Vegas. "Mischa can't give interviews on the red carpet or deal with the press right now," said a Vegas source, "so they told her she can't do the event." The club was searching for celebrities available at the last minute but was still looking last night.

Is Nicole expecting?

Nicole Kidman is pregnant, according to the Daily Mail. The Golden Compass actress, 40, told friends and family over the Christmas holiday that she and husband Keith Urban, 40, are expecting, the UK newspaper reported. Kidman and the country singer have been married since June 2006. There are no details on when the baby is due. She has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise – Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12 – but their relationship is strained. "They call me Mom," Cruise's new wife, Katie Holmes, said recently. Kidman has talked openly about wanting another baby. "I'm yearning to have one," she told Vanity Fair in September. "I think I would be very sad if I wasn't able to have a baby. Keith knows I want one, and he has been getting there slowly." In an interview in February on Oprah's Oscar Special, Russell Crowe asked the actress if she planned on getting pregnant. "I hope so," she replied. When Crowe remarked that he'd like to see Kidman "walking around barefoot and pregnant," the actress agreed – "I'd like to see that, too." Kidman told Vogue last year: "I always thought I'd eventually live on a Fijian island. I love the idea of being in a sarong, with hair down to my bum and kids following my around and hanging out." After her split from Cruise in 2001, Kidman admitted she'd suffered an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in miscarriage at one point in their 10-year marriage. "From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies. And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic," she told Vanity Fair. Three months into their marriage, Urban checked himself into the Betty Ford clinic for three months to treat alcohol addiction. "We had to dig really deep," Kidman has said. Kidman begins an eight-week shoot for The Reader in Berlin next month, but after that has no movie projects lined up, the Daily Mail reported.

Rebecca De Mornay offically charged with DUI

Actress Rebecca De Mornay has been formally charged with DUI after being arrested two months ago. The "John from Cincinnati" star was charged Thursday with two counts stemming from her October arrest -- one for driving under the influence and one for driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent, according to news reports. She tested at .09 percent following the arrest. The 48-year-old star of "Risky Business" and "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle" was pulled over in Beverly Hills on Oct. 30 for a traffic violation. Officers smelled alcohol on her breath and gave her a field sobriety test, which she failed. She also failed a breath test, which led to the second count. De Mornay is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, although she won't necessarily have to be in court.

Heidi Klum sued

Heidi Klum's next project could be in the courtroom. Van Cleef & Arpels filed suit against the Project Runway host in Manhattan's federal court last week, claiming that her jewelry line ripped off their clover design. The papers claim that the designs created by Heidi Klum GmbH and Mouawad USA are so similar to Van Cleef & Arpels's vintage Alhambra line, they create "confusion in the marketplace." (The suit also cites an Oct. 21 New York Times article, which states "Heidi Klum appropriated the clover design for jewelry she designs for Mouawad.") The luxury jewelry house is suing Klum, 34, for copyright infringement and asks for damages in excess of $25,000. Designer Pascal Mouawad, head of Mouawad USA, dismisses the claim, saying: "We believe this claim has no merit. It's clear that shapes like clovers, hearts, crosses, etc, are universal symbols and are commonly used in jewelry." He adds, "Heidi has been wearing her pieces on Project Runway and we've seen them become quite popular. The clover has always been in fashion and you can see that many other luxury jewelry houses have their own interpretations of this wonderful shape such as Louis Vuitton and Chopard."

Madonna to debut film in Berlin

Madonna's debut movie as a director will have its world premiere at the annual Berlin film festival in February. "Filth and Wisdom," starring Eugene Hutz, Richard E. Grant and Stephen Graham, will screen in the Panorama section, outside the main competition, a festival statement said Thursday. Organizers didn't specify whether the 49-year-old singer will come to Berlin to present the movie. The event, which runs from Feb. 7-17, is the first of the year's major European film festivals.

Mischa's New Year's gig still on

Mischa Barton is still set to host a New Year’s bash in Las Vegas this weekend. “We are aware of Mischa Barton's incident last night, but at present she is still expected to host the CatHouse Grand Opening at Luxor Las Vegas on December 29th,” a rep for the lounge said in a statement. “ We will let you know if anything changes." The O.C. alum, 21, was arrested at 3 a.m. yesterday morning after police spotted her weaving between two lanes of traffic in West Hollywood. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, according to a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt.

Sean and Robin Wright Penn split

Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, their rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms. No other details were immediately available. The couple, who've been married 11 years, have two children together, Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16. Penn, 47, and Wright, 41, began dating in the early '90s and married in 1996. They also have starred together in several films, including 1998's Hurlyburly and 1997's She's So Lovely, directed by Nick Cassavetes. "Marriage ain't easy, but it's great most of the time," Penn told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. "I love Robin. I've always loved her." In the same article, Cassavetes was asked about working with the couple. "The beginning and the end of every day is how Sean and Robin are getting along," he said. "If they have a bad morning, Sean's broken up about it." Penn's most recent film, Into the Wild, which he directed, is drawing awards buzz, with four SAG Award nominations and two Golden Globe nods.

Jessica Alba engaged

Mom-to-be Jessica Alba was spotted over the Christmas holiday with a rock on her left ring finger – and the rumors are true: she and boyfriend Cash Warren are engaged, her rep confirms. "I can confirm that they are engaged," said publicist Brad Cafarelli. Earlier this month, the couple announced that they are expecting a baby. Alba, 26, has been dating Warren, 28, since the fall of 2004, after they met on the set of her movie, The Fantastic Four, on which Warren was a director's assistant. Alba has also starred in Sin City and the recent Awake.

Update on Mischa's DUI

Mischa Barton was arrested in West Hollywood early Thursday morning, authorities confirm. The former star of The O.C., 21, was pulled over at 2:46 a.m. after her vehicle was seen straddling two lanes of traffic and she failed to signal when making a turn, according to an L.A. County Sheriff Department statement released Thursday. She was arrested for DUI and driving without a valid license. "During Ms. Barton's detention, it was determined that she was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage," according to police. "Ms. Barton was arrested and transported to West Hollywood Sheriff's station where the booking process was completed without incident." The investigation is ongoing. Shortly after 10 a.m., a West Hollywood deputy said: "Ms. Barton has been released from sheriff's custody after she posted $10,000 bail." Initially, police also said she'd been arrested for possession of illegal narcotics, but no more details were available. Barton is currently scheduled to host the opening of the new Las Vegas restaurant and lounge, CatHouse, over the weekend. A representative for Barton did not immediately return a request for comment.

Brangelina's fast food Christmas

The Brangelina brood had a finger lickin’ good Christmas in New Orleans. Days before the holiday, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, were spotted strolling hand in hand as they shopped at Harry’s Corner and Santa’s Quarter in their French Quarter neighborhood. Later, Jolie took daughter Shiloh, 19 months, on a walk around town, letting her munch on Lay’s Chips and Cracker Jacks. The actress — who has admitted, “I’m not much of a cook” – proved that point when she and Pitt (in a white Nissan minivan) went through a McDonald’s drive-thru and picked up Happy Meals for their kids on Christmas Day. The day after Christmas, the family – sans Shiloh – hit the AMC Palace Theater to take in the family flick The Water Horse. And on the way home? They hit up another fast food restaurant: KFC.

Leo and Bar: back on

Despite their brief break in October, Leonardo DiCaprio, 33, and Bar Refaeli, 22, were spotted holding hands at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills on Dec. 20. Are they back on? "They were never really 'off,'" a DiCaprio source says. "It was always a distance thing. Leo was making a movie in Morocco [this year], and Bar had her modeling career." Refaeli's mom, Zipi, says: "Bar is working all over the world. Says the DiCaprio pal, "It's a struggle to make a relationship like theirs work, but yes, they're together."

Lindsay denies drinking before 2005 crash

Lindsay Lohan says she was sober before a 2005 car crash near Beverly Hills. The 21-year-old actress is being sued for negligence over the accident in which her Mercedes-Benz hit a van and injured the driver, Raymundo Ortega. Ortega, a busboy, alleges Lohan had been drinking at The Ivy restaurant before the crash even though she was underage at the time. Ortega is seeking at least $200,000 in damages from Lohan and the restaurant. But in a Dec. 15 declaration, Lohan stated: "I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug" either before or during her restaurant visit. A call to Lohan lawyer David Ozeran wasn't immediately returned Wednesday. Lohan's declaration was filed Friday in Superior Court by lawyers for The Ivy along with other documents, including a declaration by the waiter who served Lohan. The server, Adam Novicki, said Lohan didn't order alcohol. Alonzo Howell, a Los Angeles police officer who was providing security for The Ivy that day, also said he didn't see Lohan drinking. Lohan has countersued Ortega, citing a California Highway Patrol report that said he was at fault for the crash because he made an illegal U-turn. Lohan served 84 minutes in jail last month after pleading guilty to misdemeanour drunken driving and cocaine charges unrelated to the 2005 crash.

The Willow House Chronicles

This week’s featured blog is The Willow House Chronicles, the blog of Sheri aka Barefootheart (don’t you love that nickname? I do!). Sheri is a self-described late-50s mother of 3 grown daughters, a long-time horsekeeper, a crazy cat lady, a book reader, a student of nature, and a gardener. She currently keeps two horses and a donkey, 6 cats and a husband. Although she grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Sheri always wanted to live in the country. She and her husband moved to a rural home when they married and have lived in the country ever since. Over the years, she has enjoyed observing and studying nature, because there is always something new to see and learn.

Sheri, why do you blog? What got you started?

When I began the Chronicles, I didn’t have a clear idea of what I would write about. I was spurred on to begin, however, by Seabrooke, my highly successful blogger daughter, who writes The Marvelous in Nature and is part of the Nature Blog Network team. She got tired of me making suggestions and said “Write your own blog!” and finally I did.

Seabrooke has a zoology degree and a strong background in hands-on zoology, so her posts tend to be more technical or detailed, while my nature-related posts offer the view of a layman nature lover.

How has blogging changed how you think about nature? or how you write?

Blogging has sharpened my powers of observation as I have an eye constantly on the lookout for interesting phenomenon suitable for a blog post. Further, blogging has encouraged me to look more closely at natural phenomenon that I might not have otherwise inquired into beyond a cursory observation, and this deeper understanding has been rewarding. I have enjoyed sharing my observations and findings with others.

What do you like most and least about blogging?

I began my blog with the goal of posting an entry every day for one year. I completed that challenge on February 4th, a few weeks ago. It has been a very satisfying experience, but also a very demanding one. Planning topics, lining up appropriate photographs and completing research as needed, can be quite time-consuming.

Blogging offers a number of satisfactions. It is very nice to have a place to post photographs you love and be able to share them with others. While retaining a core of nature-related subjects, I have also covered local events and other diverse topics. After a lifetime lived in the Toronto region of Ontario, my husband and I relocated to eastern Ontario a year ago. Keeping the Willow House Chronicles has given me an outlet to share my experiences in exploring a new region and its history. It was moving to a new house that inspired my blog title. The name for the house just popped into my head one morning as I was enjoying a walk around the garden, and it seemed like a good name for a blog that examines daily events and observations in and around my home.

As I am an avid reader, I decided to include book reviews in my blog and established Bibliophilia Mondays. The books covered range from light fiction to non-fiction on an assortment of topics.

Now that I have a year’s worth of entries, it is pleasant to look back over the year and observe the changing seasons, revisit favorite events and remember interesting sights. It also provides a calendar for anticipating the schedule of the upcoming year.

How do you promote your blog and attract readers?

It has been rewarding to gradually build up a readership. I haven’t done too much to promote Willow House Chronicles, but try to join blog carnivals regularly to reach new potential readers. I also had business cards featuring my blog address printed and keep a few with me to hand out occasionally as opportunities arise. I have a few regular readers who often leave comments and I enjoy hearing from them very much. I also have got to know other writers through their blogs and have enjoyed sharing the experiences of other nature bloggers.

Anything else you’d like me to ask you, or that you’d like to volunteer without being asked?

In the past year, I posted a few entries about environmentally important issues such as keeping cats indoors and drinking shade-grown coffee. In the upcoming year, I would like to help raise awareness of conservation issues like these through my blog. As the new gardening season approaches, I hope to also feature posts on organic and nature-friendly gardening.

Idaho's Fire Rainbow

The atmospheric phenomenon known as a circumhorizon(tal) arc, or "Fire rainbow", appears when the sun is high in the sky (i.e., higher than 58° above the horizon), and its light passes through diaphanous, high-altitude cirrus clouds made up of hexagonal plate crystals. Sunlight entering the crystals' vertical side faces and leaving through their bottom faces is refracted (as through a prism) and separated into an array of visible colors. When the plate crystals in cirrus clouds are aligned optimally (i.e., with their faces parallel to the ground), the resulting display is a brilliant spectrum of colors reminiscent of a rainbow. The example shown above was captured on camera as it hung for about an hour across a several-hundred square mile area of sky above northern Idaho (near the Washington border) on 3 June 2006.

Venezuela's Everlasting Storm

The mysterious "Relámpago del Catatumbo" (Catatumbo lightning) is a unique natural phenomenon in the world. Located on the mouth of the Catatumbo river at Lake Maracaibo (Venezuela), the phenomenon is a cloud-to-cloud lightning that forms a voltage arc more than five kilometre high during 140 to 160 nights a year, 10 hours a night, and as many as 280 times an hour. This almost permanent storm occurs over the marshlands where the Catatumbo River feeds into Lake Maracaibo and it is considered the greatest single generator of ozone in the planet, judging from the intensity of the cloud-to-cloud discharge and great frequency.

The area sees an estimated 1,176,000 electrical discharges per year, with an intensity of up to 400,000 amperes, and visible up to 400 km away. This is the reason why the storm is also known as the Maracaibo Beacon as light has been used for navigation by ships for ages. The collision with the winds coming from the Andes Mountains causes the storms and associated lightning, a result of electrical discharges through ionised gases, specifically the methane created by the decomposition of organic matter in the marshes. Being lighter than air, the gas rises up to the clouds, feeding the storms. Some local environmentalists hope to put the area under the protection of UNESCO, as it is an exceptional phenomenon, the greatest source of its type for regenerating the planet'sozone layer.

Religion – A “Natural” Phenomenon

House of worship

All human societies have some phenomenon that can be described as religion. It is difficult to understand why religion is so pervasive in human culture. Some theories suggest that religion is a byproduct of evolution. However, no other animal group has anything that even remotely resembles the concept that has been labeled as religion in anthropology. Unlike other social animals, humans are very good at establishing and maintaining relations with agents beyond a physical presence. From childhood, humans are capable of forming enduring, stable and important social relationships with fictional characters, imaginary friends and super heroes. Thus, for humans, it is not difficult to imagine a god who is although invisible and intangible, yet somehow involved with them. Religious thoughts are based on tacit assumptions, when people proclaim their loyalty to a particular faith, they subscribe to claims for which there is no evidence. Unlike conscious beliefs, which differ widely from one tradition to another, such tacit assumptions about religious beliefs are very similar across religions.

The regions of the brain engaged in processing religious knowledge can be studied using modern neuroimaging techniques. Experiments were done to determine the psychological components underlying religious belief and evaluate their neural foundations. These studies support the view that there is no specific domain for religion in the human brain. Religiosity is integrated in our cognitive processes and employs the same brain networks used in social and emotional interactions. Religious understanding probably emerged as a unique combination of several evolutionarily important cognitive processes. Humans are naturally inclined to faith due to these traits. Thus, religious thinking seems to be the path of least resistance for our cognitive systems and is a consequence of having a very ‘human’ type of brain.

By contrast, atheism is harder for the human brain to comprehend. Atheism is generally the result of a deliberate effort against our natural cognitive dispositions and is thus a more difficult ideology to propagate. It is therefore not surprising that despite the appeal of logic and rationality that atheism offers, it has few takers.

Perhaps a capacity for religious thinking — and not specifically religion in its present socio-political context — provided fitness benefits to our ancestors during the course of evolution. Religion can evoke very diverse and strong emotions, which can now be experimentally studied. Neuroscience is trying to provide a pragmatic explanation to the complex phenomenon called religion. Religion continues to dominate both the personal and political aspects of our modern society and it is unlikely that any understanding of the foundations of religious belief in humans will undermine the impact of religion in our lives.

Moon Find May Point to Habitable Tunnels...Uh, Possibly Alien Bases

US President Barack Obama may have to reconsider his decision to abandon plans to return to the Moon - it seems our closest galactic neighbour is still throwing up surprises.

Last year, NASA'a Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) dipped into a low orbit around the Moon and almost immediately returned results.

Early in May, it found lost Soviet rover Lunokhod 1, which wandered off course 40 years and stopped sending signals back to Earth.

Later that month, it sent back an amazing image of a three-storey high boulder which had rolled across the Moon's surface before toppling into a crater.

Now it may have confirmed a theory that scientists had held about the Moon since the 1960s - its surface may hide a vast network of tunnels.

If they exist, such tunnels could offer the kind of shelter that would allow humans to live on the Moon.

"They could be entrances to a geologic wonderland," lead researcher Mark Robinson of Arizona State University said.

The series of photos were taken by the LRO when it passed over the Marius Hills, a location on the Moon known for its multitude of "rilles" - the long channels on the surface which first led scientists to propose the tunnel theory.

In December last year, Japanese orbiter Kaguya spotted an enormous pit in the middle of one of the Marius Hills rilles.

It was about 70m wide and dropped more than 90m to its floor.

The LRO recently returned clearer images of the pit which now have scientists believing it may be a "skylight" in a buried lava tube.

Not surprisingly, alien watchers have jumped on the discovery, claiming its the perfect lair for extraterrestrial life, but Mr Robinson said if the tunnels existed, they could have a practical use for humans.

"The tunnels offer a perfect radiation shield and a very benign thermal environment," he said.

"Once you get down to two metres under the surface of the moon, the temperature remains fairly constant, probably around -30 to -40 degrees C."

Just what we would do once we got there is anyone's guess, but given that other recent discoveries point to the fact the Moon may hold 100 times more water than we think, habitable areas could be worth noting.

crazy night of ufo ativity -lake erie

In another interesting incident, a small dazzling transforming orb was sighted in the skies of India. It was spotted by an executive of a private company who filmed it on his camcorder and showed it to the M. P. Birla Planetarium Director Dr. D. P. Duari.

Dr. Duari described the object as very bright, changing shape from a triangle into a sphere and then a straight line while emitting various colours at 30 degrees on the eastern horizon. "No natural phenomenon is likely to last for such a long duration and it is not a meteor either, It is extremely interesting and strange," Duari said.

Very similar objects has been seen and described worldwide. Transforming from a sphere to a triangle then back to a sphere and usually in a stationary position. There have also been reports of small orbs flying close to the ground and causing ground and crop disturbances.

I have been observing these reports for many years and it is alarming to me the number of recent sightings as well as the information forwarded by regular people. Is the flying orb activity not as frequent has I state and just the result of better technology available to the public? Maybe…but then again, that is a good thing in my opinion. I do take heart that there may actually be something out there. Recent “X-File” disclosures by a few governments have confirmed that we are not alone in this universe and that the phenomena we are seeing may not be a figment of our imaginations. In the meantime, we need to insist that more disclosure be made available and that sightings be investigated thoroughly.

The Year of the UFO - Unidentified Flying Orb

Flying orbs of various sizes and colors have been witnessed since we started looking to the heavens. Most sightings were either meteorites and small space debris entering the earth’s atmosphere or balloons and other explainable objects. Since the mid-1990’s, the internet has given many of us a tool to witness this phenomena. That being said, the year 2007 was a period of increased unidentified flying orb activity worldwide.

From the United Kingdom to Lake Erie, from the Yukon to Australia, the sightings have been constant and similar for most of the last 12 months. What does these mean? Are we being observed by an alien species or is this activity government generated. There are many questions and very few answers.

One of the early reports was on January 19, 2007 when witnesses reported seeing an unidentified flying orb hovering for more than an hour over Bouyer Ahmad, Iran. The glowing sphere was described as bright yellow with a pulsating red center, the Fars News Agency reported. The sightings follow a UFO crash on January 10, 2007 in the Barrez Mountains, Iran. Deputy Gov.-Gen. Abulghassem Nasrollahi of Kerman province said police and other authorities were investigating the incident. He stated the crash could not have been an airplane or helicopter because all aircraft flying through the area on that day had been accounted for.

A week later, residents in the Charlotte, North Carolina area called 911 dispatchers and reported seeing a weird hovering light in the sky. Emergency dispatchers answered the calls in Iredell, Lincoln, Mooresville and Huntersville. One Lincoln County officer reportedly saw it, and the National Weather Service in Greer, South Carolina got similar calls. Even stranger, people in between the two areas in York, Gaston and Cleveland counties had no such 911 reports. The Federal Aviation Administration had no reports of plane crashes or unidentified craft.

In early February, 2007, the first of many (and continued) unidentified flying orb sightings was reported in Islington, North London, United Kingdom. Dozens of mysterious lights were spotted hovering in the sky, spreading panic among the residents below. The flying orange objects stopped traffic and left residents staring skyward in disbelief. Islington police received four calls within a matter of minutes.

Witness Alix McAlister, 34, a market stall trader from Bredgar Road, Archway, said: "I just picked up my son from nursery in Bredgar Road. I had just come out of the door when I noticed what was going on in the sky. There were a group of them - 10 to 15 of them moving together. My first impression was that they reminded me of a squadron of airplanes in formation. But they didn't have a proper formation and they were all moving at the same speed. I thought for a while that something was happening in the centre of London. Bombs and planes crossed my mind. But I realized very quickly that they didn't look like any aircraft I'd seen before. They were coming from the north and moving south. And then they kind of stopped and they were hovering. There was no sound. They seemed to fade away and I saw more coming and then they stopped. It lasted about 10 minutes."

To this day, similar sightings are reported regularly in the United Kingdom. Recently, five orange orbs were seen near Mynydd Isa on Christmas Day 2007 and has prompted numerous reports from other residents of similar sightings in Flintshire, Wrexham and Chester in the UK.

One of the more interesting sightings was in Didum, Turkey when several people reported seeing a strange light ın the sky. The strange yellowish melon-shaped ball was spotted by several people near the police academy in Yeşilkent, while regulars at the Ark Cafe, in Hunters Valley, spotted the same UFO-style lights. Witnesses described how the melon-shaped object was moving fast and in a straight line before swerving towards the police academy direction and towards the sea before disappearing over the horizon.

Some of the best orb footage was taken by Michael Lee Hill, captured over Lake Erie from the northern Ohio shoreline. Hill's orb video from 2001 had also appeared in UFO's Unplugged with Dan Aykroyd and David Sereda's film "From Here to Andromeda". Flashing orbs over Lake Erie

The New Orb UFO / Anomaly Flap

The following reports were submitted to the MUFON CMS within the past 24 hours. These are just a small example of recent (since last winter) orb and circle shaped sightings that have occurred worldwide. In particular, the number of described 'orange orb' sightings has increased tremendously. Granted, some of these could very well be Chinese lanterns...but I'm willing state that a majority of these sightings are legit unknown anomalies.

As well, the number of 'orb' sightings/photos has also increased dramatically. I literally receive 10-20 emails per week with photos of the objects attached. Are these simply moisture on the lens...light reflection...etc.? Or...are we starting to see a pattern of anomalous energy provided by unknown entities or sources? I've included several photos I have received over the past few years.

MUFON CMS - CSU Foothills Campus: Was taking photos of the night sky on LaPorte Avenue, near the CSU Foothills Campus and this appeared very briefly, perhaps for a second or two. Just a flash of light in an otherwise moonless and dark night at my location. This 'orb' didn't move, simply appeared and disappeared in the same spot.

Due to the long duration of my camera's exposures, it was able to capture the image.

MUFON CMS - East Falmouth, Massachusetts: My mother lives on a saltwater pond about 1/2 mile width in East Falmouth. She was awoken at 3:20AM on 7/2/10 by a very bright ("sparkling like a diamond, but brighter" as she puts it) white star-like radiant object hovering above the tree line across the pond from her house. She indicates it was the size of a silver dollar if held out at arms length and 4 finger widths above the tree tops. The light caused a wide V shaped reflection on the pond as if the full moon were shining on the pond but wider. The sky was clear. There were no noises.

The object hovered for approximately 1 minute upon which it moved approximately 1/4 mile to the left (South) and then a 90 degree angle straight vertical into the air and disappeared. The time elapsed between the moment it started moving, turned 90 degrees vertical and disappeared was approximately 2 seconds.

Distance was hard to deduce from our conversation and her experience but her estimates are that it was not too far beyond the trees that start 1/2 mile across the pond from her house.

I looked on Google Earth and if a line was drawn from the observation point to the object a few notable landmarks fall on this line in its path disregarding the variable of distance:

1 - Sand and Gravel Pit/Mine - Lawrence-Lynch Materials Corp. is located directly on the observation line at 396 Gifford Ave, Falmouth, Massachusetts.

2 - Beebe Woods with a kettle pond directly on the observation line.

3 - Otis Air Force Base - approximately 6 miles NE of observation point, not on the observation line but interesting.

4 - A large radio tower about 1/3 of a mile south of the observation line.

Mufon Case 24094 in Augusta ME witnessed two similar objects hours earlier on 7/1/10 at 10:30pm demonstrate exact same object/s and behavior per my mothers review of that case, but she did not see two objects as that case indicated, just one object.

MUFON CMS - California: My lady friend and me were walking home from somewhere. When we were in the pre-school parking lot I saw my lady friend look up. Then I looked up seconds later, and I saw a perfectly round disc shaped object directly over my head. As soon as I saw it it was already speeding away straight up. Actually I just got a glimps of it, but could see it had pink and violet swirls on it that seemed to be alive. It measured about 2 feet in diameter. It quickly disappeared into space.

In January 2008, I wrote a post on the increased orb activity worldwide. This activity seemed to wane a bit until this current flap of orb sightings.

The 2012 Phenomenon, well explained

With 2012 fast approaching, it seems everybody in the know is talking about the great shift, the great awakening, the great transformation, the ascension of consciousness, crop circles, evolution and ultimately remembering who we really are, unlimited beings of Love. In this intensifying buzz of information and vibration, it is becoming an increasingly difficult struggle to discern the truth and determine what (if anything) is needed to prepare yourself and the ones you love for 2012 and beyond.
If you find yourself concerned about 2012 or other spiritual ‘end time matters’, don’t worry. There is nothing to fear, and nothing to worry about. However, the world is changing while consciousness is expanding and you should be aware of your expanding abilities and awareness, if you are to comfortably navigate and grow with the massive changes now occurring on Planet Earth.

“I think that by 2012 you will have people who are enlightened (open, honest, caring, loving, united to the divine) and those who still seek humanity’s lower natures (suffering, misery, hate, separation from the divine) but at least the scale may be tipping more toward enlightened.” -Hermes Trismegistus

2012 marks the end of the 26,000 year Mayan calendar. The Mayans created a map of time, a precise calendar, more accurate than our own. Far into the future, the Maya saw one particular day when the sun, earth and moon would converge on the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. On this day, the ancient Maya decided their calendar would end. The old age would end and a new age would begin. According to the Maya, this transformation of ages will occur during the Winter Solstice, on or around December 21st, in the year 2012.
Native American groups throughout this hemisphere, as well as many Eastern philosophies, believe that this major transformation is currently underway on the planet. They suggest that this phenomenon will climax in the year 2012, coinciding with the end of the 26,000 year Mayan calendar and a rare celestial alignment involving the sun and our galaxy, the Milky Way. Although I don’t believe a magical transformation is going to occur at a particular time and date, we will see all ‘things’ continue to vibrate at a higher and higher rate as we move to this date and beyond. Along with the Sun getting warmer, this high vibration of all things on Planet Earth is one of the causes of ‘Global Warming’. Al Gore and his man-made Global Warming hypothesis is a total fraud, study it yourself.

While this change is viewed as momentous and perhaps even cataclysmic, Native American seers do not view this transformation with the same apocalyptic gloom and doom as do the Judaic-Christian prophets. Instead, of an end, the Native Americans believe it will be a beginning, a transition into a new and better world. Instead of a time of darkness, Native American spirituality suggests that this change will be the dawning of a new light. Instead of condemning the masses of unsaved to eternal damnation, the spirit of 2012 allows every individual to be responsible for deciding and creating their own reality, their own destiny and position in this new world.

For this reason, Native American holy people believe that now is the time for all of us to begin making decisions about what reality we want in the future. They believe it is now time to take individual responsibility for our own futures. In August 1987, as the Mayan calendar entered its final phase, a group of elders in a remote area of Belize, Central America gathered together and decided to hold a special ceremony in honor of this impending transformation of ages.

“The Mayan Calendar provides an exact schedule for the Cosmic Plan and the unfolding of all things that come into existence. There is now ample empirical evidence for this, something that shines new light on the age old questions of mankind. Things do exist for a reason. The reason is that they fit into the divine cosmic plan. For those that seriously engage in a study of the Mayan Calendar this soon becomes evident and the former materialist world view loses all relevance. The Mayan Calendar is a gateway to the worlds of consciousness which the majority of humanity has been blinded to through the use of false or delusory calendars.

…What it does say is that step by step there will be a change in consciousness in the current Galactic Underworld that until October 28, 2011, will make Enlightenment a state that is increasingly more easily attained.” - Carl Johan Calleman

Human hobbit

Recently discovered in Indonesia in the 18 000-year-old bones belong to a kind man with three feet of height on the island of Flores, Indonesia. Human hobbit, so scientists and the media called it. has the characteristic features of the smaller in humans in general. human hobbit discovery raises a dispute between ilmuwa. the dispute is the existence of other experts who support the views of the Indonesian scientists who objected to the proposed H. floresiensis as a separate species distinct from Homo sapiens. Leading scientists from a range of these is the Australian scientist Dr. And Dr. Maciej Henneberg. Alan Thorne, and researchers from the Chicago Field Museum in America.
A number of new arguments, as expressed by Indonesian scientists, confirmed that Flores Man may have suffered neurological disease known as microcephaly (disorders of the small size of the head). Secondary microcephaly have so many causes, ranging from viral infection during pregnancy to injury or malnutrition as a newborn. Specimens were found in a cave on an island. Who can say that the island had never been hit by virus outbreak 18 000 years ago that caused an outbreak of these disorders? Or maybe the inhabitants of [the island] has been hit by the epidemic elsewhere in the Indonesian archipelago, and been banished to Flores because of their odd appearance.
Or maybe just that those who developed secondary microcephaly can survive and even breed: abnormalities are not always linked to low intelligence. Actually, [the level of intelligence] is not caused by a small brain size: The most important determinant is the sum of [brain-colored] gray. Because this section is not preserved in the fossil remnants, we have no idea whether the "hobbits" were smart, stupid or indifferent. What is clear is that palaeontologists too eager to base a large claim on evidence that has been confirmed very low. This is a strong tendency not to help them in the past.

Another assessment by Henneberg that reveals surprising results about Flores Man is a calculation of the forearm bones (radius) are found in a cave. Of long bones, which are determined as 210 mm (8.3 inches), Henneberg calculated that the owner bertinggi body between 151 and 162 cm (4.9 to 5.3 feet). This figure is slightly larger than one meter (three feet) high that allegedly represents the size of Flores Man, and still within limits considered normal for human beings today. Henneberg announced the conclusion which he achieved as a result of this research:
"Until additional other bones of the 'new species' These allegations are discovered, I will still be stated that a condition that is very well known due to the penyakitlah which became the cause of special appearances from such order."

"What makes all things which he makes his best and began the creation of man from the ground. Then He made his progeny from the quintessence humble water (semen). Then He breathed into perfecting and (body) of his spirit (creation) of His and He made for you hearing, sight and hearts, (but) you little thanks. " (Qur'an, 32: 7-9)

Traces of modern humans 3.6 million years old

Laetoli footprints came from present-day humans, but they lived millions of years ago. In fact, a number of other findings trace the origin of modern humans 1.7 million years ago. One of the most important findings is the footprints found at Laetoli, Tanzania by Mary Leakey in 1977. Footprints was found in the layer which, according to calculations 3.6 million years old. More importantly, the footprints are not different from the footprints left by modern humans (humans today). The footprints found in Mary Leakey and studied several such paleoanthropologist Don Johanson and Tim White. The result is the same. White writes: No doubt ... Traces were similar to modern human footprints. If one traces it left on the sand beaches of California now, and a four-year-old child was questioned about it, he would immediately reply that someone had walked in there. He will not be able to distinguish it with a hundred other footprints on the beach, so did you. After examining the footprints, Louis Robbins from the University of North Carolina this review: curve a bit higher - the smaller human berlengkungan taller than me-and big toes and legs parallel to the index finger. ... The fingers pressing the ground like the fingers human foot. You will not see this in animals. Morphological forms of tests continued to show again that tracks must be accepted that the human footprints, further, that modern humans have today (Homo sapiens). Russell Tuttle to learn this writing:
A small barefoot Homo sapiens may have made ... Of all the observed morphological features, the feet of people who make the tracks not unlike the human foot modern.Penelitian not neutral about the footprints that reveal actual owners. In fact, the footprints consisted of 20 fossilized tracks of a modern man aged 10 years and 27 traces of a younger man. They obviously modern humans like us.
This situation made the Laetoli footprints as conversation material for years. The evolutionist paleoanthropologist working hard because they think an explanation is difficult to accept the fact that modern man has walked on earth 3.6 million years ago. In the 1990s, "explanation" is taking shape. Evolutionists decided that these footprints must have been left by Australopithecus, because according to their theory, it is impossible there homo species 3.6 million years ago. However, in his essay in 1990, Russell H. Tuttle wrote: In short, the footprints 3.5 million years old at the Laetoli site G resemble modern humans trace of the usual bare-foot. There are no features that indicate that Laetoli-capable bipedal hominid that is less than us. If only traces in the G site is not known that old, we would immediately conclude that the trail had been made by members of the genus Homo ... In this case, we must set aside a weak assumption that the Laetoli impressions made by the Lucy species, Australopithecus aferensis.Dengan ie in other words, the footprints 3.6 million years old this may not belong to Australopithecus. The only reason why these tracks are considered to be derived from it because it is located on the volcanic layer of 3.6 million years old. Was considered to belong to Australopithecus trail with the assumption that human beings can not exist in the days of old.
Interpretations of the Laetoli tracks shows us a very important fact. Evolutionists do not support his theory in light of scientific findings, instead just ignore it. Here we have a theory that is defended blindly, and the dubious theory of all findings were ignored or twisted to support the theory. In short, the theory of evolution is not science, but dogma kept alive by ignoring science.

Human jaw 2.3 Million Years of Age
Another example that shows the clack-sahihan genealogy Authored by evolutionists: the jaw of modern humans (Homo sapiens) 2.3 million years old. Jaw is coded AL 666-1 was unearthed in Hadar, Ethiopia. Evolutionist publications are trying to reduce its meaning to refer to them as "a very surprising finding." (D. Johanson, BlakeEdgar, From Lucy to Language, p. 169)
